Dearest Friends and Distant Family Members,
We welcome you to Upton Abbey this fine Christmas Eve for the reading of the late Earl of Grey. Unfortunately, since your arrival, the storm has worsened, which means we must all hunker down and wait for the roads to clear.
Not to worry! We have a yule log on the fire and the staff is busy preparing a delicious three-course meal for all invited guests. Besides, it’s probably best if no one ventures out into the cold, dark night. What with the recent dreadful atrocities of the frightful murderer, Jack the Ripper. So stick together, be vigilant, trust no one, and we’ll all get through this and be home in time to open presents.
Your hosts this evening:
Lady Chastity, Lady Katherine, Lady Charity, and Clive the Butler
Playwright: James Leonard Koponen
